Bhartiya Gorkha Seva Samaj stands as a beacon of unity, cultural preservation, and social welfare for Gorkha families across India. We are dedicated to providing support in everyday life while keeping our rich traditions and heritage alive for future generations.

Our Story

Founded in 1968 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh as Nepali Sewa Samaj, we grew into Bhartiya Gorkha Seva Samaj — a trusted home for welfare, culture, and unity.

Journey through the decades

  • 1968

    Establishment of Nepali Sewa Samaj

    Nepali Sewa Samaj, Lucknow was formed, uniting the community with its first executive committee to promote cultural preservation and progress.

  • 1976

    Establishment of Durga Temple

    Shri Shri Sarva Janani Durga Temple was grandly established in Telibagh, Lucknow, serving as a hub for daily prayers, bhajan-kirtan, and community bonding.

  • 1987

    Merger & Name Change

    All regional organizations unanimously merged into a single entity, appending 'Bharatiya' to become the Bharatiya Nepali Sewa Samaj, U.P., Lucknow.

  • 1990

    Kajari Teej Women's Committee

    Formed to increase public awareness, self-confidence, and respect for women, successfully organizing large-scale cultural events.

  • 2006

    National Affiliation & Souvenir

    Successfully printed its first souvenir and became affiliated with the national-level organization, the Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh.
